I put a post on here a couple weeks ago about my friend's 325 crapping out and dealership saying it was his fault. Someone put up a post saying they had very similar symptoms and it was a camshaft sensor that was bad.
After having the car towed to another dealership and having more tests run, it turned out to be an exhaust camshaft sensor that needed replacing, along with a reflash for the ECU. My friend did not over-rev his motor, nor was it saddled with any huge defect from the factory, just a sensor.
I wanted to thank you guys and specifically whoever put up that post, I have always been able to get the (esoteric) info I need from this site, which is much appreciated. -Dietrich Seney
