Socal pricing on 325i
I'm looking to buy another 325i and I'm wondering what people in Southern California have been getting for their E90 325i.
I've only tried one place so far (Sterling BMW) and I got nothing off MSRP. They told me the car is hot and they can't keep them in stock, so they are not discounting.
I hear others are getting as low as $500 above invoice.
Since the SoCal market is a little different from the rest of the country, I'd like to know what others in SoCal are getting...and where?
Thanks.

I don't think many people got $500 over invoice, its probably some lucky sod. I wish I got that price! Anyway, I got mine at Bob Smith BMW for $1500 above invoice end June/ early July.

1. Do a search on this board to find out the answer to your question which will give you hours of information to peruse.
2. Now that you have decided how much over invoice you are going to shoot for, simply fax or email any dealer within your desired driving distance for pickup. You can even email those not in driving distance if you so choose and get a courtesy delivery to your closest dealer.
3. In that email or fax make an offer for whatever you are willing to pay above invoice with all the desired options you want. You can find invoice pricing in the ask a dealer forum. Include one line dealer profit at the bottom. Shooting for 1,000 I think is great, 1,500 would be good, and 2,000 average IMO.
4. Keep in mind the dealer will more than likely have additional fees slipped into the deal if you don't do European Delivery (which would make this a whole different offer on your part). If you are willing to do an ED then reply to this and I and others can counsel you differently. Those fees are often termed MACO or advertising fees. Speedfreak can comment on whether or not those are fees that are actually invoiced to the dealer from BMWNA (jk speed). This will be several hundred dollars extra to the invoice cost, and you can choose to take those as part of dealer profit while negotiating or not. The dealer will insist that they are just another part of his cost and not profit. Just keep in mind your bottom line offer.
5. The reason you fax or email is to save time and face to face BS bargaining. Who likes to do that? You can sit back and receive their responses. In your fax or email start out at 1,000 over invoice and state you are willint to accept counter offers but the dealership that accepts your offer will be selected. This will help get a reply from most.
I did this method and got 9 I think out of 25 to agree to 1,000 over invoice for ED, good luck.
