Instead of putting the money into a special color, put the money into a 330 upgrade!!

I was told flat out by the General Manager of a very large BMW dealer that BMW NA does not [as of right now] participate in 'BMW Individual'.

I was told that BMW NA is essentially a 'customer' of BMW AG and chooses to buy a rather limited selection of the BMW models/options that are available, for example, to the rest of Europe.

I was also told that any dealer [in the U.S.] who says that they can get 'Individual' or other non-standard exterior colors or interior materials is simply blowing smoke.

Besides; $3000-$4000 is a lot of jack for a non-standard color.

There is a difference between getting a BMW Individual color and a special order color that exists on other models. A local dealer told me at one point, that I could order a BMW Individual exterior color only, but I never pursued it so I don't know if he was blowing smoke or not. The same dealer also told me that the special order color would cost an additional $1700 over the regular metallic paint price.

This is true but the color has to be one that is available as a standard color on a current production car.

What current production car has Laguna Seca Blue as a standard option?
