i thought the 3 series was marketed for younger people?

if so, why is the 3 series pricing gotten expensive compared to other entry level luxary cars?

i dont mind the current design of the 3 series, but what pisses me off is how they jacked up on the most popular package: premium. it costs nearly 3k. why? because they just had to include leather into it.

on a bmw, i dislike leather. i love leatherette, but thats my problem it seems. it seems my type is small and so bmw decided to make us get leather. if we dont, then well we dont get the premium package.

you dont get everything that prem has if you want to assemble it outside of the prem package.

now im more upset i didnt jump onto the 325xi when i couldve.... the new 325i is more expensive and i dont even want to look at the xi model.

maybe i ought to just save up 8k and get me a 525xi.

I was in a similar position a couple months ago. I wanted Bluetooth, Nav, and some other options that cost ALOT for the 3 series. By the time I had it configured the way I wanted I was in the low 40's. So I ended up getting the 525i, which comes standard with Bluetooth, power seats, etc. And it only cost me about 4k more than the 3 series would have. I also get to have HUD! Awesome feature!

but i mean come on. a 325i with xenons, confort access and sat radio= 34k.

this is with leatherette, jet black and manual tranny.

i really hope the new lexus is as good as it is and is price right where the last gen was. its looking more and more like i'll head lexus than bmw.

and no, ill never buy a used bmw. bmw with warranty is to us and air. you cannot have one w/o the other.

I hate to dissapoint you but if you're referring to the new Lexus IS, which is targeting the 3 series, the price is not going to be that competitive.

With the 7% increase the dealer told me about yesterday,

2006 Lexus IS250 2WD Auto: Leather, VSC, Sunroof, no Nav costs about 37000.00 plus delivery. You probably couldn't get an IS350 for a long while until all the lists of people who'll pay MSRP plus $2-3000.00 have been fulfilled.

I've owned Lexus cars and SUV's since 1995 and am here to tell you: After driving the new E90, it's a bargain!
Can't wait to add one to my toy box(garage)!
