Couple of Questions from a New Owner
Hey - just picked up my 06 325i/prem/nav last night. Traded in a 2001 325ci for it. I already love the car. I'm a tech/gadget guy, and I love the iDrive. It took a couple minutes to get used to, but once you get the hang of it, its a breeze. In addition, I synched up my treo 650 with it. There were no issues, and it works greats. Now to my questions:
1. Cradle for the Treo - Does anyone know if BMW has a treo cradle? The dealer said that the phone is to thick to put a cradle under the arm rest. If there isn't a cradle, is there another way that I can utilize the cars external antenna? 2. The car came without the 325i badge on the trunk. I could care less if there is one there, however does anyone think that not having the badge will hurt me when i go to sell the car?
Thanks!!!

Thanks!!! | 1. BMW lists the phones they support on their website, no the treo is not one. You must be one of the "lucky" people to have the treo synch with the bmw. Many have said the phone book does not transfer and the phone is sporadic! 2. Why do you want to take the badge off, b/c it is a 325? Umm people will still know it is a 325 since it does not have chrome window trim or a chrome grill, not sure why people insist on doing this but since you want to I would say no it will not affect resale b/c you can keep the insignia and later put it back on not that tough to think of that! Doublt sided tape is all you would need.

| | Reply » Couple of Questions from a New Owner | Hey - I don't want to take the badge off - it was delivered without the badge. I'm going to the dealer today to have him put it on. I really don't care if its on the car or off the car. I asked the dealer to put it on even though it came without it, due to the fact that not having it on the car a few years down the road could hurt the resale value. I think you misunderstood my question.
