Just picked up my 2006 330i. Premium, Automatic, Cold Weather, Nav (w/voice). There seems to be no documentation for either the iDrive/Nav, nor the Voice Control. How does one know (a) where to find things in the iDrive (without the hunt-and-peck approach) and (b) which voice commands to use? I got a ton of documentation with the car, including a CD-RoM, a road atlas, and some other stuff. But no documentation for those two items. (This is my first post, but I did use the Search function first and didn't find anything.  ) Rich |

I just don't know how BMW can sell the iDrive and Voice without any documentation provided by the dealership?
I also found that, even though a similar system has been on the 5 Series, the dealership didn't understand it very much.

In the Owners Manual there is a special section dedicated to voice commands, telling you all the commands and what they do. This is near the end of the booklet.
And in the owners manual I beleive it explains how to do everything there is to do about the rest of the iDrive controls.

The electronic version posted on this thread has more info, but I haven't had time to go through it all, yet.
