I just picked up my 2006 330i yesterday. There is absolutely nothing on how to set-up my Bluetooth phone. Bluetooth is not even listed in the owner’s manual index. I tried following the instructions that came with my phone but nothing. I have a Motorola V551 which is supposed to be compatible. I read some of the past threads and found something about not being able to use BMW assist and my Bluetooth phone, but I think that is an older model car. All my i-drive will tell me is that I need to setup my phone, but it will not let me do anything. Am I missing something? Should I have received some additional information on the Bluetooth? Is there a code? My husband called our salesman and he said something about a code, but that is all I could get out of my husband. I think he is too excited about the new car to talk to me… He is out in the garage with my phone and the BMW right now.

First of all, I think you need to find the bluetooth menu in your phone. Once your there, I believe you can set it up when your in your car.
If I have it right, there is then a passcode that you should have in your owner's manual that you will have to enter to pair the phone with your car.
If you are unable to do so, it might just take a quick trip to your dealership.

Turn on the BMW bluetooth from its menus. Have your phone look for Bluetooth devices under your phone Bluetooth menu ... usually selected by the menu key top center when in the bluetooth menu. The BMW only sends out Bluetooth discovery even though it says searching. Dumb. For the E90 you create your own passcode. Once the phone finds the BMW the passcode creation process starts.
