Hi,
Thanks to those i have been getting advice from. i am buying a 325i for my wife, w/n a week. I need some advice though. I have been doing research on what vehicle to buy her solely from the internet. I narrowed down my first choice to the 325i a couple days ago. Today was the first time i actually went to the dealer, actually sat in one, and actually drove one (i did this thing in reverse, i guess).
Anyways,
I have narrowed the color choices down to Silver and Sparkling Graphite.
I live in TX where it does get hot as heck (plz keep in mind).
After seeing both in person today, my heart tells me Sparkling Graphite with black leather-ette and aluminum trip is the most beautiful combination available. But, this isnt for me, its for my wife. but i do think that i generally have good taste. this being said, am i crazy for this? a)it'll probably get hot as heck as it is black interior, b) aluminum trim? i'm so not used to this. i wonder will i be able to resell it, will she like it, etc... i can't ask her its a surprise gift. I want ALL of your thoughts, the good and bad on both black leatherette in hot ass texas and on the alum. trim combo.
SO, BASICALLY WHAT IS THE BEST INTERIOR COLOR AND TRIM FOR SILVER, AND WHAT IS THE BEST FOR SPARKLING GRAPHITE?
should i consider a light grey, maybe it won't get so hot?
sorry for the incoherent typing i'm just typing what i think as i think it.
you know, USUALLY i'm a fan of the walnut wood trim - sorry, i hate poplar it looks ugly to me. HOWEVER, after seeing how compact this car really is, and seeing the tight leather seats and materials how they are tightly compacted (as opposed to say, lexus), i have to say that the 3 series gives me more of a feeling of sport than luxury. this being said, i believe in keeping with the true and main character of the vehicle, aluminum trim suits this best...., but i want you feedback and thoughts. thanks.
P.S. if anyone would do it all over again, what would be your #1 color ext, int, and trim please state.
thanks.

It's hard.
Silver leather goes with just about any exterior, especially if you get the aluminum trim. (I don't like it with the wood--either color wood).
I don't like black, but it would go with just about any blue, black, or silver/grey exterior. Again, I think the aluminum trim would look better than the wood.
I chose beige, which looks nice with either wood trim. But beige only looks good with exteriors that are not black or grey/silver, like blue, green, etc. I chose Monaco blue with beige leather and burl trim. (I like the contrast of burl, rather than the complimentary nature of poplar with the beige.)
But this all comes down to what you like.
