I am contemplating buying a 325i with the Cold Weather Package (so the seats will fold down). My wife has suggested that the car is completely impractical given that we have a 2 month old. I am not so sure. We will not be using it as an everyday baby hauler. And my sense it that it will be fine for the occassional trips to the grocery story or journeys out to the inlaws for the weekend. Does anyone have any thoughts?

Why do people now think you need an SUV or Minivan to be able to fit a tiny kid? The kid will fit fine; my friend's kid has grown up riding in the backseat of his dad's E36 sedan, and the E90 has more room. Even my coupe would easily hold car seats in the back, although access isn't as good as a four door.

Isn't it just incredible that children can even survive in Europe being driven around in Golfs and 1 series?? I mean....the horror...the horror.

I personally get a kick out of seeing these tiny little women driving these huge SUV's to cart around..... their gym bag and their toddler. The best part is when they try to park or back up!
The E90 should be fine with kids let alone a kid, heck I grew up in a Jetta and a Passat and I think it was fine, now the Jetta would be cramped, passat has plenty of room. Best of luck

Mine holds a 3 1/2 yr old and 8 year old and two car seats just fine.
The kids love the speed and handling...really
I feel like I am doing a good job as a mother teaching them to have good taste in automobiles
