 Tint in Minnesota?

Hey guys/gals...

I have a 330i coming in at the end of the month and I'm thinking about getting some tint. Any ideas on some good tinters around the Twin Cities?

You should not only select a good installer but should also do research on films and choose one on your own. If not you will run into problems like the ones posted here. There are lots of threads here on BF on the subject, try doing a search.

Does anyone get their car tinted from the dealer? I haven't asked them how much they're going to charge but if it is reasonable I may as well just have them do it before I pick up the car right?

Yea I'm pretty sure I'll be staying away from the metalic tint. I'm just curious if anyone has some experiences with tint shops in MN. Apparently there aren't a whole lot of 'em around.

Just because you get if from the dealer it does not mean it may be the best tint. You will also pay a premium because that is not done in house. He will pay somebody else to do it and then tack on service fee for billing you (though this is not going to be made known to you).

Yeah I don't know how BMW does it but my boyfriend works at Champion Audi and they have people from Llumar come out and do it and he said it is really good quality. I guess it would vary a lot depending on the dealer.
