As I'm sure you all seen I got my E90 this weekend.
My first "fill up" on gas stopped at 3/4 of the tank.
I drove off not thinking anything of it and just figured it would adjust.
After driving another 100 miles (tank was about half way at this point). I filled up again and all was fine, it went to FULL.
I'm guessing maybe the first pump I was at was bad? Anyone have any similar experiences filling up?

I am not sure if it is something to do with the design of the filler tube going to the tank that makes the pump think the tank is full what.
I have never had it stop as early as 3/4, but have frequently had it stop early. It has made me pay more attention to how much gas has gone in and I have learned to "top off" the tank when I am sure the pump has stopped early.

In NJ we have full service so it would be hard to try and communicate with the attendant and tell him it's not full........... if you get my drift........... LOL

Just drive across the nearest state line so you can pump your own gas!

I don't want to pump my own gas! I am happy sitting tight in the heat when it's snowing outside!

Does NJ have those stupid gas nozzle covers like CA does? I tried filling up a rental car once and the cutoff switch for the nozzle kept flaking out. Finally I went to another gas station to top off.
