Opinons: Will 17" run-flats perform well in snow?

I'm thinking of a 325xi with 17" run-flats. I'd like to keep a year-round wheel/tire combo as opposed to swapping out winter shoes.

Any opinions? BTW, I'm located in southern coastal Maine. TIA!

You can get around on all seasons run flat or non-run flat ... but if you absolutely want the shortest stopping distance and maximum tracton in winter ... get a winter set. I personally would never go back to all seasons. Too much compromise.

well I will be getting my 325xi in Sept and I was wondering if I should be gettin winters too or would it be a waste and stick with the All seasons... ?

my experience in KY is that dedicated winters make a huge dif. over all seasons (I like to call them no-season tires )
if you actually plan on doing any driving before the roads are plowed imo get winter tires...if you can stay indoors for a couple days after it snows by all means don't get winter tires

You'd need winter tires. There's something about in the manual somewhere

You definately need snows. I've had a volvo xc awd, audi A6 awd and Sienna minivan AWD, and put dedicated wheels and snows on all of them. I've ordered my xit with performance tires knowing that I'll buy a set of wheels and snows for winter driving.
