Anyone interested in purchasing a BMW in the Phoenix area should avoid North Scottsdale BMW at all costs. I have owned / leased six BMW's in the past and just got my '06 at North Scottsdale BMW - my first and last from this dealership. They are incompetent, arrogant and very rude. I negotiated a good deal with them over many hours, and I was told they rarely discount any vehicle off of MSRP. When I showed up for delivery with a certified check for payment in full, as instructed by them, they refused to deliver the car unless I wired the money. They told me that I, or anyone with a cashiers check, could potentially place a stop payment on the check and they would not accept it. I offered to back the check up with a credit card or to have them hold the papers until the check cleared. They refused everything. I was in the auto business for many years and never experienced such a thing. All of this after I traded in an '05 MB E55 two months ago when I ordered my BMW and had to wait 8 days for them to cut me a check, and only got the check after I made some noise. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THEM AND ANY OTHER UNITED AUTO GROUP / PENSKE DEALERSHIP.
