I have a 3 day old E90 325i with AT. I have noticed that when I accelerate from a complete stop there is about a 1-2 second hesitation right before it shifts to 2nd gear. This happens with a normal acceleration. If I give it a little more gas from the complete stop I do not feel this hesitation. Does anyone with a E90 325 AT feel this? Thanks

the e90 325i has a sluggish start from a stop with step. I noticed this on my test drive with another 325. Basically, its just the way the car is.. its possible a software update might improve it but I doubt it. I got a base MINI as a loaner when my e90 was in the shop and it had more "boost" from a stop than the 325.
However, the 325 has the most consistent, smooth acceleration through all the gears of any car I've ever owned. You might start a tad sluggish but you'll be at 100 before you know it
If you want to start quicker like pulling out in heavy traffic, just press down far enough to force the step tranny into a more aggressive revving.

i also noted this in my test drive in the "comparo G35, Audi A4, and 330i" thread.
it was really annoying to me.

I know that the manual cars have roll control. The elctronics hold the brakes for two seconds after releasing the brake pedal. Read the manual to see if the auto has it or not and do search on this board and you will find more info on it.

Thanks | This delay gets much better after the break-in period.
Do a search on the topic and you will see the other threads about this.
Most of us will conclude that it is almost non existent at 1500+ miles.

If the car revving before actually accelerating is the same thing you're talking about, then I have the same problem. It happens every once in a while, and I'm at 7000+ miles.
