 door ding vent,,,

I noticed my first door ding today while washing my e90

I f+cking hate inconsiderate people that do this crap!!!!!!!!

I have made it a point when parking.. 100% of the time I park in an end space or preferably all by myself and keep a nice distance between any other cars. I have not once parked close enough to anyone to get a ding and now I have a djf;alkjdfklasjf ding!

I guess someone moved and someone else pulled in close and dinged the **** out of my car. Its not that noticable but they hit about 1 inch from the seam of the drivers side door. I think many people must do this crap on purpose when they see a nice car! I'm always careful not to touch my door to other cars but a few times I have accidentally hit cars with my door and NEVER dinged them.. I just dont see how people can open a door with that much force to accomplish this?!?!

Anyway, just a vent.. anyone know how much it costs for a "ding doctor"? never used one

About a $150 for ding repair. Be glad they didn't gouge the paint. As I've said before, keep it in a museum and don't drive it, if you want to keep it pristine.

I follow the same parking philosophy, and then this nut (see attached photo) parks all crooked over the white lines. It's actually closer that it looks in the photo. Wooo, it's way too hot today.

I too park far away from anyone.

Just thought of a new strategy, what if we'd all take 2 parking spaces, by putting the car exactly centered on one parking line? That way there would be half a car's distance on either side!

That's until BMW comes up with a return of rubber striping on the doors, external airbags or flamethrowers, whatever works best.

Ouch- I hate when people can't take the extra 2 seconds to park...I've actually had to enter my car through the passenger side just to be able to leave before because someone got so close that I couldn't even open my door more than a couple of inches!

Maybe we should slow them down a little by teaching them what happens when they back out of the spot and run over the roofing nails that were "accidentally" left behind their tires Eh, that's probably not the highest road to take though.

Where can you buy the roofing nails?
