I'm thinking of ordering an E90 325xi for my wife. My SA states I can get 2nd allocation, meaning a November delivery. My questions are: 1) What exactly is comfort access and how does it work? 2) Can anyone point me in the direction where I can see examples of Barrique Red metallic and Sonora metallic? I can't seem to find them on bmwusa.com 3) Last (for now) is about the satellite radio. Bmwusa.com lists satellite preparation as $75, and satellite radio as $595. I realize the prep is pre-wiring to accept satellite (I'm assuming antenna). Is the general consensus to get the stock satellite radio or is there a clean (stealth) recommended aftermarket solution that would be more worth doing? Also, any opinions as to the $1,200 radio upgrade (I know it wasn't worth the $1,200 on my X5). Thanks, gang! This would be the 3rd bimmer in our family (we have an '01 X5 3.0i and a '97 Z3 2.8i). Not sure about the second two questions, but Comfort Access allows you to unlock the doors to your car by just touching a groove in the handle, start the car by just pressing the start/stop button and then locking your car by touching the same groove on the handle.
This works as long as you leave the key in your pocket so the car and 'scan' it. Pretty cool feature, but its really a personal option as to whether it is actually worth it.

There is a lot of info here on both comfort access and the satellite radio, do search and you will get tons of info. but in the short, comfort access no key in ignition and proximity unlocking of doors, sat rad NO way there will be an integrated aftermarket.... get the prep for 75 if you want the sat rad you can always add it later. Best of luck (sonora is nasty IMHO and the barrique I think needs to be seen in person they have it in the brochure I picked up at the dealer but it does not really paint it well)

I'm prolly gonna seal a deal w/in a week or so. Looking at 325xi, sparkling graphite/terra, step, cw, pp, power rear shade/side shades, xenon, sat prep.
