I'm new here and I just wanted to introduce myself. With that said I'm in the market for a '06 330i and I'm looking for information on European Delivery and regular purchase.
I've read some threads on here about European Delivery, but have yet to negotiate for one. What are people being quoted for a European Delivered car? What is the turn around time for a E.D. order? From the time I order, to the time I'm set to take delivery in Europe to the time it takes to take delievery in the US. What is included in a ED exactly? Is airfare included?
For a regular purchase I've negotiated some what and the best deal that I've seen so far is $2000 off MSRP before tax and license. What is everyone getting?
Also, is BMW going to replace the 330 with a 335? I noticed that both the 325 and the 330 have 3.0 liter engines, are they the same? Can you play MP3 CDs without the navi?
Thank you in advance

I'm not too sure about the euro delivery stuff, but I can confirm that mp3 cds do work with cars without navigation. I've heard that wma files work as well but haven't tried them out.

Also please note that there is an understood rule that you should not discuss publicly the amount over invoce paid on ED purchases. If you do, the moderator will edit your post and X out the numbers. You may want to discuss that via PM's.

I don't recommend doing ed for the "savings". Most of the money you save you will end up spending on your trip, and the extra time the ED ads to the purchase process is akin to shoving bamboo shoots under your finger nails. I do however beleive that there is no bettter whay to buy a car. My ED trip was amazing for a dozen diffrent reasons. when ever I meet someone who bought their car the normal way I feel nothing but pitty.

Tom | Having just gone through all this mess recently, let me share some of the thoughts. Search on these forums for something called "ED invoice (wholesale prices)". Go to the dealer. Ask them to sell you the car for $500 over ED wholesale prices invoice. Extremely unlikely dealer would agree to that, so expect to pay over somewhere between 500 to 1000 over invoice. As someone on these threads said, thinking of doing ED to save money does not make sense as you would end up spending more than you will save. Unless you are single/go offseason to europe and stay in cheap hotes. Even then savings would not be worth the hassle. On the other hand if you like travelling and would like to go to europe anyways car or no car, then ED is a good idea.

Thank you to all of those who replied. Your post have been helpful. For those of you who have done ED can you pm me the type of deals you received and from what dealership? For those of you that have done a purchase through the conventional method, can you tell me the price you got and from what dealership?
