LA area dealers
Helo all, I recently moved to LA and am looking to get a new 330. I wanted to know if anyone had good experiences with a local dealer that they could recommend. I'm looking forward to being back in the BMW family!
Thanks!

it's a big town, where will you be living/working?
I bought my 330i at Crevier (which is behind the orange curtain), dealership was great back when I bought my Z3 years ago but I was not real happy this time around. I will be looking for a new service center up in LA as soon as my Baby gets off the boat. I am leaning towards New Century in North Hollywood since I have had good experience with their parts Dept.
You have two considerations when looking for a dealer. The deal upfront (actually buying the car) and the service. It has been my experience that service is a little better if you use the same place you bought the car. So I would start with the dealer that is most conviently located and see what they are like, and then maybe move out from there.
I'll be currious to see what you come up with.

Thanks! | Looking for a BMW dealer in the L.A. area?
Uhh, there are about 30 of them. Where do you live? How far are you willing to drive? Where do you want to pay sales tax?
Living in Brentwood I have never been able to tell much qualitative difference between BMW of Santa Monica, BMW of Beverly Hills, Center, etc. They each have their pluses and minuses.
Given that BMWs tend to be in the shop more than your average Accord, I would choose the dealer nearest you…

Thanks! | Try Bob Smith BMW, I had a superb experience this June buying the E90 there. PM me and I will hook you up with my SA, Shelly.

Very straight shooter, no BS guy.

| | Reply » LA area dealers | I had a good experience buying at McKenna, but not-so-good getting it serviced at Beverly Hills.
My favorite was when two service advisors told me two conflicting stories (one: we can't fix this problem for some reason; the other: we can't isolate the problem, it must not be there) then they did not do the simplest of the three things I brought it in for.
