 Roof Rack

Do the 2006 325i have attachment points like the old BMW 3 series for roof racks? These attachment points allowed a rack not to touch the paint.

The base support system differs from the one for E46. Several sources on line already offer them for ca. $145. How do I know? Ive already ordered one to haul my bike around!!

The new roof racks are like those of the e60s. They don't touch the paint but use some odd system of lockign in between the door seals or something. They appear to be much, much less secure then the old ones...maybe the e60 guys can tell you more about them.

Skier, can you send out a couple of links for the roof racks? Even Thule doesnt have the e90 as an option on their website. Thanks

I second the request for links.

I called Thule and they don't have a time frame yet...other than call back in a month.

Or with those who are Yakima fans could lobby Yakima for a solution that uses the BMW mounting points........ support@yakima.com
