I brought in my E90 325i for service today, and was informed that a recall software upgrade needed to be performed on my car. All I was told when I asked was that the recall concerns on-board diagnostics... anyone has a clue what this is about? Is this the same "firmware upgrade" that's been discussed on this board? Recall number was 12-09-05

that recall code looks a little like the date of recall, just in the wrong order.....(Sept 12, 2005)

no i meant the date they would start performing the actual service and notifying people..
