My car should be arriving at the dealer today and my dealer said I'd be able to pick it up today as well. However, I've read on this board that many people received a list from their dealers asking what programmable options they'd like installed on their car before they pick it up from the dealer. My dealer's never mentioned anything and I've never gotten such a list.
So I'm probably just going to email him a list of the options I'd like and I was wondering if anyone remembers what options were the on the list exactly so I can see the full list of what's available. I know Daytime Running Lights are one.

I know Daytime Running Lights are one. | Daytime Running Lights, Pathway Lighting, Auto door locks (after car reaches 5 MPH) are the popular ones. However, some dealers don't have the latest Software to program some of these settings...you might have to wait until September. What Dealer on Long Island you purchased from? I'm on long Island as well. Congratulations on your new Car.

What exactly is Pathway Lighting?
I went to a dealer in NJ (Morristown) because no other dealers had the exactly car I was looking for. I normally would've gone to Rallye.

Before you ask your dealer for specific programming options ask them for a copy Service Information Bulletin SI B 09 03 05 (July 2005). This Service Information Bulletin supersedes S.M. B09 202 05 dated June, 2 2005. Programming or Personal Profile cannot be set on E90s produced through 9/05!!! This includes the running lights. I had to ask four different service staff and Corporate BMW to get the "real" answer.
Basically my dealer does not have a clue. Hope this helps.

I normally would've gone to Rallye. | Pathway Lighting allows the Headlights to stay on for a short while (60 seconds I believe) after you get out of the car....it's consider a safety feature if say you're parking in your driveway and need the area lit until you get into your house.
