 Retrofit rear fog light?

Does anyone know if it is possible to retrofit the rear fog light in the E90? I did this once with a VW by buying the Euro switch and adding a bulb.... not sure if this is feasible with the BMW. Any input ideas would be great, I am doing an ED so I figured I could swing by the local dealer there and pick me up a switch... etc.

Everything nowaday is software driven. Here on BF an owner tried to retrofit IIRC a 2003 E46. He bought the European 2 position switch got wiring digrams, got help from people from the other side of the pond. etc it was no go. The lights are controlled through the I-Bus and US dealers do not have the sofware to make this update. When this failed a petition to BMWNA was started here at BF to get the dealers the software (just like on the MINI). BMWNA response was no.I would imagine that it would be the same issue on the E90

I am with you on the rear fog light issue. I retrofitted them in my Corrado. The fog switch was already a 2 position switch so I I just had to pop the covers from the rear fog light socket, install a bulb, and run a wire back to the switch so it would light up in position 2. Those were the good old days
