 Buildling new garage...any suggestions?

I am converting my current three car garage into more living space and will replace it with another three car garage which I will build during the conversion of the old one. This gives me an opportunity to build my new garage with amenities that I probably haven't even thought of.

I would appreciate your suggestions as I am literally starting this project with a clean sheet of paper. I really don't have a need for anything as esoteric as lifts for working on the car or double decker storage, but I am considering an epoxy floor...among other things.

Thanks for any suggestions you have based on features you now enjoy in your current garage or things you wish you had done if you had the opportunity to add during it's construction.

Everything white drywall with red accents. Grey painted floor with speckles of of black chips in it. A car lift would be nice. AC/Heater.

The question is, how big a hit can your wallet take? My dream garage would have a heated slab floor, one corner of the walls tiled up to about 6 ft. high, with a floor drain and a pull-around "shower curtain" (similar to what you see in hospital rooms) so I can wash the car inside all year around, adequate electrical service (50 amps on a seperate panel would be nice) with plenty of outlets, and a dedicated 220 line for the air compressor( or thru-the-wall-type A/C unit for the summertime), a refrigerator for your refreshments, a kickin` vintage stereo system, and a comfortable chair.... how we doin` so far ?

Regards,
Bob

Also,

A ceiling mounted gas heater for winter washing and application of wax, etc.

Flat screen TV

Set of wheel jacks (4) so you can easily move the car around the garage.

Good set of overhead lights (fluorescent, 6' 4 bulb set-up, one over each car).

Definitely a true, professionally installed epoxy floor. Home Depot/ do-it-yourself versions will not stand up to hot tires.

Oversize the garage, so there is plenty of room to work around all sides of the car.

My 2 pennies
