 Hands Free Phone, No Bluetooth?

Is there any other way besides Bluetooth that you can have hands free phone through radio, even if it is hardwired?
I have nav, but not Assist.
Driving with phone and manual is down right dangerous, so I turn phone off untill I get to destination.
Not answering when it rings drives me crazy.

Thanks

That's a good question. I think you can still get the conventional hands-free, hardwired phone and cradle that is offered by BMW. But I think you have a limited selection of phones, or maybe even have to buy a new phone for the system. Before the advent of Bluetooth, BMW's hands free set up was designed to mute the audio system, so I don't know why you still couldn't have this. I'd check with your dealer to see about availability.

Hmmmm I am interested in this as well because I bought the Navigation but not the premium package or bluetooth.
