 Graphite paint tint issue..

Looking at the graphite paint as an option but i noticed a color tint (almost lt purple it seemed in direct light).. Wondering if it was just me.. I am decided between the graphite and the saphire black.. could care less which one is more popular.. if i like it i will buy it.. any other members seen the same thing? the brochures do not show it and i seem to see it in some pics on other sites (owner pics)....

Yes, you are correct. I have one and it has the brownish/purplish tone under the direct light/sun. It doesn't sound exciting now but it looks really good in person.

I love the differences in tones it brings out in differenting lighting. Not as chameleon as Artic is, but cool nonetheless.

In bright sun it throws off a LOT of purple.

When I went shopping for cars the first car the dealer showed us a sparkling graphite 325. My first reaction was "who would want a purple car."

Long story short, we bought the car. I'm not going to lie and say that I love the color, but it does grow on you... Color isn't one of my priorities though. I think all the colors BMW offers are nice.

Not sure why people are saying it's a purpleish/brown.... Don't see a bit of brown at all. If anything, it's purpleish grey...

That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.
