 Hartge 320d 196hp

Found this interesting article on the new 320d from Hartge.
The 320d is expected to be a best seller in Europe.
With power easily upgraded it is a tuner's dream as well!!

For the latest automotive product from Bavaria, the new BMW 3 series (E90), Hartge introduces an exclusive tuning program, allowing the individual to transform his or her car from a series automobile to an exclusive motor vehicle.

Starting with the engine, the Hartge performace kit for Diesel-models provides added power, increasing the 320d output to 196 hp and 390 lb-ft of torque. As a result, the sedan now sprints from 0-100 km/hr (0-62.5 mph) in 7.5 sec, and tops out at 230 km/h (144 mph). A supercharger kit is planned for the 3.0L gasoline model, while other engine upgrades are also in the works for later this year.

Hartge's engineers have also crafted a sport suspension system, using the roads of Germany inlcuding the Autobahn and the revered Nuerburgring, to establish specific spring and damping rates. The package is available as a complete kit with dampers and springs, and also with just the springs. Both versions lower ride height by 30 mm (1.25“), to reduce the center of gravity and improve handling dynamics. In concert with the suspension improvements, Hartge Classic wheels in 18, 19, or 20“ diameter are available, using corresponding low profile performance tires from preferred suppliers Continental or Pirelli. The new Classic2 wheel is also available for the E90, in a 19“ diameter.

Continuing to the rear of the vehicle, Hartge offers a low restriction stainless steel exhaust with either twin round tailipipe tips, or their timeless oval tip, enhancing the acoustic experience of the new 3 series.

Aesthetically externally, Hartge’s new front spoiler adds an understated yet individually exclusive appearance to the already handsome 3 series design. Internally, driver and passenger experiences can be enhanced by a variety of Hartge accessories including a form-fitting leather sport steering wheel available with carbon fiber inserts, gear shift and handbrake levers in leather/aluminum as well as full aluminum construction, aluminum pedals, and velour floormats with the Hartge logo embroidered in.

With any or all of these components for the new 3 series program from Hartge, one can transform the newest and very capable BMW sedan to an extraordinary vehicle, and experience what Hartge calls. . . “the fine art of being fast!“

I know that my 320d with 150hp is not an acceleration beast but it's quite 'fast'. It reaches 200km/h very easily. (I saw 230km/h on the tacho).

I'm looking forward to drive the 335d with 272hp, when it's out. I bet it will be a monster of a car.

Hey Alex, wassup?

I thought the 335d and 535d will not be offered as RHD, is that correct?

Kalispera

I can't think of a reason why they shouldn't be offered as RHD

BTW, just remembered that Andy Thomas, one of our fellow members from London, tested a 535d

Here it is so hot, you can fry eggs and bacon on the hood of your car, if its left in the sun....
Actually, one can also fry his/hers skin, if exposed to the sun for an hour!!!

So hot here, 40C....

Anyways....An article in BMWCAR said that there wont be any RHD versions of the 535d... a couple of months ago.
