 Module Fault - Delayed Delivery

I was supposed to take delivery tomorrow, but the salesman just informed me that they found a fault in a module and was asking Germany for help.
He did not know which module, but apparently the service tech's can not reset it.
Hope this is not a sign of things to come.
He also advised me that there is definately NO DEALER INSTALLED BLUE TOOTH OPTION in Canada at this time.
What a bummer.

Sorry to hear about the delay. We have been fortunate here - no delayed deliveries, and I think not even any post delivery major glitches

Is your car from Open Road? (it is the only car in Canada that matches your sig in inventory....) If so, I will ask our expert in Service (we call him the Bluetooth fairy ) to confirm the no Bluetooth retro. I believe that you can add it afterwards, but will check Monday for sure....

That's right, Open Road BMW in Newmarket, Ontario.
Thanks for the help.
Dealer confirmed today that I have to wait until Monday afternoon to get my car as they have to order a new DSC Module.
In the meantime, I took some pictures today at the dealers.
It's going to be a long weekend.

Hey Neill, nice to know i won't be seeing lots of cars exactly the same as mine in Canada.
Dealer told me not many people order Manual.
I quess it will lessen resale value.

Our initial run was around the 50% mark on manual trans.... due in part I would think that the people anticipating/waiting for the E90 are enthusiasts who were aware of it prior to official launch activities.....

(It was this site that has certainly educated our store on the merits of Alpine & Electric Red - the majority of us feel that the E90 looks far better in these two colours than the E46 did.... and also convinced me that to order Lemon interior was not a huge risk. It has been selling well.)

On the subject of resale, I wouldn't worry too much - remember that the auto w/step is $1400 more, and I would bet dollars to doughnuts that when you go to sell it, the spread between the two narrows, not widens (thus your life cycle cost is less ). The majority of folks that call our showroom home away from home also are manual trans drivers....

I find that there are not many Nav cars being ordered for stock - we have had at least three or four of our inventory pieces get nabbed on dealer trade before they got to Halifax... and we ordered our first 330i w/PP SP Nav Active Steering and BMW Assist, with the thought that we could make it too expensive, and use it as our showcase vehicle to order off of, and it sold on the day after launch ).

Say Hi to Peter B for me when you pick up the car - it will be well worth the wait....
