Hi,
i'm the proud new excited owner of my first BMW.
On the title it's listed as a 1978 544, so can anyone tell me exactly what model that is?
I will include a few pics. Any advise or help would be awesome. Thank you.

according to wikipedia, the 5 series model available in the US in 1978 was:
1975-1978 530i - 3.0 L I6, 176 hp (131 kW)
So, that's my best guess, as I don't really know a lot about old BMW's

That looks like a 320, and she needs a lot of love

From the pics you posted, you have a BMW 3 series, E21.
The wiki page on the E21 is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW_E21
If you post the VIN number, that will help identify the exact model.

Thanks guys for all your help. Here's the vin 54149035
And yeah she does need alot of love.....we just bought the car today and it's been sitting for awhile. lots of dust too. cant wait to detail clean and wax the car up. Also needs a radiator and a battery. Car only has 54,000 miles. In the title the model is listed as (544) but you know how titles can be. thanks again everyone. and yeah all the comments and advise is much needed.
