Hi all,
I am part way through a retrofit in my 2006 e46 330cD. Here is the story so far.....
Fitted to the car are:
- Retrofit wiring loom (existing loom still in place) - 16:9 bordmonitor with CD - Mk4 nav computer - Bluetooth module in center console - Dension iPod kit with Brodit clip on dash mount
Still to fit are:
- Becker BM54 radio module - NavTV television module
My question comes with the fitting of these last 2 modules.
The retrofit loom that all the other navigation components connect to is fine, but does not have a connector that fits the Harmon Kardon amp that is part of the factory install in the car. So, question 1:
- How do I connect the radio module to the HK amp to get *any sound from the factory system?
Also, the radio module didn't come with any extra wiring to enable it to be connected. The TV module has an iBus connector with an AUX input, so question 2 is:
- What do I need to connect the TV module into the system so it can be viewed on the bordmonitor screen and heard through the HK amp / speakers?
Lastly, I have heard conflicting reports about the requirement for TV in-line amplifiers for the ariels. My final question is:
- Are the in-line TV amplifiers required or optional, and if optional - should I get them?
Many thanks for any help or advice anyone can offer.
Kind regards. Jeremy.
