Just went to my dealer. Took a look at the E90 just to be sure I don't want that over a 2004-2005 ZHP. I couldn't drive one because he just sold the last 6 speed, but he is getting more in next week.
Impressions.....
Car seems smaller than the E46 looking at it from the outside. It also seems narrower sitting in the driver seat....
Interior is top notch, very crafty, and very expensive looking. It does not have the hi tech look of many other cars but it definately holds it's own.
My salesman mentioned to me that BMW is raising sticker prices soon 1.4%......just a FYI

The price increase would not surprise me. That is just what they did when I purchased my MINI cooper S, they released the '05 early then raised the prices when it would have normally been released. So I can see them doing the same with the E90, get them out on the streets (the best advertisement) and then raise the prices a bit once there are some out there! Plus it is a reward for those who have to deal with the early issues. I am picking mine up in Munich on 8/29 and can not wait! Have fun!

they are adding/modifiying some stuff from september production, so thats probably why the price will increase.

i inked a deal and put 500 down with an ED pickup in nov.. can the price increase be passed on to me or does my down payment lock me in? any ideas?

The other thing is the ridiculuous dash mounted cupholders. Audi had their hand slapped repeatedly for doing something similar- and they'e finally learned their lesson. They shouldn't have even bothered with them if that's the best the could do. Finally, the window swithc location being so far forward (I really can't figure out why they did that).
So, which way are you leaning right now? e90? ZHP? Something else?
