Premium package?
I am about to buy a e90 and am deciding what exactly do I need. I REALLY want the bluetooth phone system, which only cost $750 as a stand-alone option.
The premium package does include this option, with additional options such as power front seats ($995), leather (seems to be free now from bmwusa.com config), etc etc. Do not seem to add up to $2,900 value of the premium package, or am I missing something that are not listed in the premium package on the website?
Please help to correct my ignorance regarding this issue, thanks

Can track up to 10 minutes after engine shut down. If you get in accidents, air bags deployed, will notify proper authorities too. After 1st year, single yr subscription runs about $250?-ish. -Auto dimming mirrors. Great if you don't want to tint your windows. There's a sensor on the center mirror that detects the amount of light coming from behind and tint its mirror plus your side mirror to cut the glare if its too much. -homelink garage button. program up to 3 separate units -digital compass on mirror. Could be a good thing if you do not have nav.
That's on top of power seats, voice activated phone and stuff.
Anyway, this is the list of top of my head. Hope this helps.

| | Reply » Premium package? | Most options, including the premium package, are a profit center IMHO. However, if you would buy enough items in the package individually and the cost would exceed the package cost it makes sense to buy it. I wanted leather, auto-dimming mirrors, and blue tooth and the cost for these separately exceeded the package cost so it made sense to get it. If you only want bluetooth, it doesn't make sense to get the premium package since it costs 4 times as much.
Also, this is the premium package for the 325i. For the 330i it costs less (about $900) because you the power seats already come standard with that model.
| | Reply » Premium package? | For a 325, power seats aren't standard and I wanted leather/bmw assist, so I got the premium package. However, with the 330, power seats come standard, so I probably would have got BMW assist individually and then bought the auto-dim rearview mirror as an accessory.
