 fusebox ground screw/post?

I am planning on hardwiring my Passport 8500 radar detector in my new 325i. In my previous car (Audi TT) I used a fuse insert on a switched fuse for power and attached the ground to a grounded screw inside the fusebox. I was wondering if there is a similar grounded screw in the 325i fusebox to allow simelar installation. I liked this method because it allows for quick and easy installation and removal. Thanks!

Yes there is a grounded screw. I did the same thing on our E90 325i. The only grounded screw that I could find is behind the glove box door on the right. Once you open the glove box look behind it on the right towards the bottom of the door.

Sorry for going off topic here but I was just wondering how you liked your TT? What made you decide to switch to the E90? I am thinking about getting one and would value your comments. Thanks.

the TT was great. excellent everything, handling, acceleration, etc. the car did have some electrical problems though (windows rolling down by themselves, etc) its a lease so when i went back to audi to check out their new cars i didnt see anything special. my goal was to find a nice car with tight handling like the TT and modest performance but for a lower price than my TT. A3 leases are a scam and my parents have been leasing bmw's for the longest so i decided to check out BMW. one test drive was all it took. i'd highly recommend the TT, its a fast little car and the quattro really pulls through turns. entirely different car from the 325i but it turns heads and performs with the best of them. if you want to learn more about the tt check out www.audiworld.com, they have great forums

tom, did you run your wire along the headliner? also, is there room between the headliner and roof for me to slip my radar detector clip under instead of using suction cups?
