Some 325xi/330xi details
Have some specs on the 325xi from a dealer in indiana: 1. Handling ride & braking: +xDrive all-wheel drive system, electronically controlled with variable front/rear torque split and traction control (will impact performance and fuel economy a little bit due to weight and mechanism) +Front suspension and subframe is stell, instead of 325i's aluminum. Also, an aluminum thrust plate for added strength. 2. Exterior +High-intensity headlight cleaning system with retracting jets is standard on xi models
Options: Sports package: adds 130-mph top-speed limiter. Deletes sport suspension calibration (all xi models have their own calibration), 17x8.0 alloy wheels, star spoke design with 225/45R-17 H-rated all season tires. Other: active steering not offered, can add 17x8.0 front/17x8.5 rear performance tires along with the sports package and raise the limiter to 149mph.
330xi Details are nearly the same. Tires are the same as the 325xi unless optional tires added.
Weights (manual trans): 325i @ 50.3/49.3, 325xi @ 52.6/47.4, 330i @ 50.6/49.4, 330xi @ 52.6/47.4 325i @ 3285, 325xi @ 3560, 330i @ 3417, 330xi @ 3627 Auto looks to add almost 300 lbs to the 325i, but only about 45lbs to 325xi
The seating line up has changed across the entire 3-series line. Regular: 6-way manual seats ZPP: 8-way power seats + lumbar ZSP: 10-way manual seats with power back-bolsters ala M3 ZPP+ZSP: 10-way power seats + lumbar with power back-bolsters ala M3

And the xi's not getting sport suspension is no big surprise but its disappointing seeing a nice 3er jacked up like a pickup.
| | Reply » Some 325xi/330xi details | what is the 0-60 in the automatic (325)?
| | Reply » Some 325xi/330xi details | All 0-60 times on xi models were TBD.
The book said that the i and xi models will look exactly alike (with sports package). I wonder if they'll still add the height difference.

325i/330i no SP: 55.9 in
325i/330i SP: 55.3 in
325xi/330xi with or without SP: 56.1 in (much closer to the regular i models than before)
You can order the wheels and tires from the i SP models on xi SP models as an option now, but not the sport suspension with reduced ride height.
