Ok, I experienced another E90 hiccup tonight... When I got out of the car tonight in a bit of a hurry, I heard a bell dinging after I removed the key "fob" right before I closed the door... Sounded like a warning bell, but I didn't take a look before the door closed... anyhoo, I locked the door and left the car for about 5 minutes.... When I returned the remote key would not unlock the door. None of the buttons worked (nor did pushing them even get any response from the car, ie. no flash of the lights, etc). so I had to remove the valet key and unlock the door manualy... After I inserted the key fob back into the car, it worked just fine.. I also got out of the car and re-entered with no problems after that...
Has anyone else had a problem with thier remote not working?

It's pretty common for me in my e46. Just learned to live with it.

I've noticed that when I parked my old e46 and my new e90 in certain areas that the remote would not work. Two places in particular are near radio and TV transmissions towers. I think the high radio wave concentration in those areas drowned out the remote.

WOW -- that must be it! We were actually sight seeing at the top of Twin Peaks when it happened. (For those not familiar with San Francisco, Twin Peaks houses Sutro Tower Sutro Tower probably one of the biggest TV towers I've ever seen... That must have been what happened!
Thanks!
