So this is my first car ever in the states or otherwise, and I have never had car insurance in the US, and was wondering if someone could advise me as to how much coverage i should be looking to get?? Like i tried asking a GEICO person on the phone...she was useless.... what should I be looking at??

Thanks a lot!! | Why comprehensive? What if your car is stolen? Someone break your window to steal changes (it happens in my friend in my University life), someone jealous about your bimmer or you drive too aggressive that someone recognized your licence plate and "mark" your car...
Why collision? What if you hit a extoic car?

I was thinking $100 but dun't know | I am not sure you can get a deductible that low, and if you did the premium would be insane...500 bucks is reasonable (and if god forbid you get something damaged, easily suprassed.

*If you have medical insurance, you may want to consider waiving UM and UIM. *I am leasing my car, and BMW FS requires 100/300 for BI...even if you are not leasing, you shouldn't be cheap in this area. *50-100k for property damage SHOULD be okay. *Roadside assistance is a rip off. *If you know a repair shop that gives free loaners, decline rental insurance. Otherwise go with it. *I have 250 for comp. and 500 for coll. Although it would be cheaper to go higher than 500, I wouldn't suggest it. If you are leasing of financing, your creditor will normally have minimum requirements. *Every state had slightly different insurance laws, so familiarize yourself with them. *In my opinion, GEICO sucks. Ever time how long it takes to get through to sales or customer service?
