 Transmission Malfunction!!!!

I was exiting the freeway this morning on my way to work when a transmission malfunction light came on, telling me that it was powering down and to take it to the nearstest BMW dealer . I noticed it felt like the trans was slipping so I pulled it off to the side of the road, and turned it off and then on after a few minutes hoping that I was just imaging things, after all it is a brand new car, right. Nope even worse when I started it back up again I put in drive and reverse and it wouldnt move for nothing. Had to get it towed back to the dealer. A week before this I took it to the dealer because the airbag light sensor wasnt working (when an adult sits in the passanger seat the airbag light indicates its off and when no one sits there the air bag is on, light off), instead of them working on it I was asked to fill out a survey on all the details. Seems like they just slaped the car together so they could get them out on the road and let the customer worry about the problems. After all I bought a new car so I wouldnt have these problems. The dealer gave me a 2004 325 down grade rental car which is free for one day. Anything longer then that I have to pay for out of my pocket at 70 a day not to mention I'm paying for a 2006 330i which isnt working . Great customer service Long Beach BMW, I'll make sure to buy my next BMW from you guys , not to mentioned they didnt call me back after telling me they would give me the status on my car. Other then that the car is GREAT but thats when it works. Hope nobody else is having as much trouble as me.

holy sh*t man, that really sucks! I hope they get your car fixed up.... And that BS about your rental car is absolute bull****, you havent even had your car for a month and they are already screwing you over...

They should give you a loaner when the car is in shop.

It's that kind of garbage that GM service does, I would be livid.

Yes, BMWs are all JUNK. That's how they built their reputation, by building crappy cars and slapping them together and providing terrible customer service.

What drama! I'm calling BS on this.

For one thing, there's no mention of a "transmission malfunction light" in the E90 manual. And, the writing style and the notion of such a major failure give me reason to doubt this story.

Maybe-- but why would ayone bother making this up? If you wanted to make something up, why not something more catastrophic like "my engine exploded" or my car "caught on fire".
