 My first bimmer...

Finally got some pictures of my first bimmer to post. She's 2 weeks old and I'm already at the 900 mile mark. This car definitely lives up to its reputation. Its an absolute blast to drive. Can't wait till the break in is complete so I can really open it up on the road.

Take a look.
2006 BMW 330i sparkling graphite, with black leather interior w/premium, sport, and cold weather packages

Custom mods
Added 35% carbon based solarguard film which measures at 26% - <35% is illegal in oregon so I'm pushing it
Radar detector mounted and wiring integrated above the right side of the rear view mirror - no cables to see!
No front plate installed

Things I'm thinking about adding
Satelite radio, and alarm system. Any good feedback on where to get these and how hard the install is? Prices? My dealership is telling me I'm looking at least 3 hours of labor at $100 per hour to re-program the car, and that's on top of the parts and installation cost. They say that's all they charge, but it sometimes takes all day. Is that true?

This guy over at e90post.com had his alarm installed after getting the car. Here's the link I hope it helps, looks like he got pretty good rates. Good luck and congrats on the car she's beautiful.

Any picture ofhow the radar is integrated? I have a valentine and hate it sitting in the middle on the dash. I want to somehow conceal it. Thanks

Thanks!

I'll take some pics tonight and post them. Had the dealer install it for me. 30 minutes labor to bard wire the cable in. $10 for the direct wire cable. Total cost to install with parts was $60 for about 4" of cable sticking out right near the radar detector. Plus the detector is nicely hidden by the location between the roof, rain sensor and rear view mirror.

Side effect is I don't know that rear laser detection is all that good, but that's why I also purchased a laser difusion and anti-photo radar plate cover. That comes in later this week. Anyone know what the fine/laws are around these type of covers? it was only $35 so I thought I'd get it and ask around.
