 Aluminum Pedal Install Question

I am installing my BMW Aluminum Pedal set today (the one from their Accessory Catalog). I have a couple of questions.

I have an E90 and they supplied a replacement plastic gas pedal with the kit. Is it necessary to use this with the aluminum pedal, or can I mount the aluminum pedal right on top of the existing gas pedal that came with my car?

Also, when installing the dead-pedal, is it necessary to remove the existing plastic dead-pedal, or just install the aluminum piece right over the existing factory one? Anyone that had this installed can check by seeing if there is plastic around the edges of their aluminum dead pedal.

Thank you!

I'm interested in how hard installatiion of these pedals are.
Also, where did you buy them from/price?

I bought them at Circle BMW. There are 2 things that you need. The footrest kit and the Manual Tranny kit or Auto Tranny Kit.

I also just found this site and it details the process pretty easily and answered some of my questions...

No dead pedal answer in there though...

Looks good!

I really like it with the dark interior. I might have to make that my second mod after I figure out how to hard-wire my Valentine One.

Thank you. If you do the Valentine One hardwired, please post us some pics and a write up of how it went. I would really like to know how it goes for you. I plan to do the same soon.
