 ED Pricing Help...

hi

What is the price starting point of negotiations..?
I read about ED wholesale vs. retailb ut have no idea on what they are?(.i.e. ED price + 1000) ?
Does anyone know of an ED friendly dealer in southern CT/NY border?
I am planning on picking up a 330xi , sport/cold/sirius ED and need to start researching the price so I can negotiate.
I have already spoke to several dealerships in my area and the responses were:
"I do not beleive they do ED anymore..."
"That is something that they r phasing out and will not be available for 2006..."

lol.. I hate this part of buying a car....

Any help would be appreciated.

You definitely need to find a good ED dealer. I suggest starting with site sponsors. They are all great.
Not sure what you are asking regarding the price? It's fairly straightforward on ED as there are no manufacturer incentives etc. like on the US delivered cars to take into equation. There's ED invoice/wholesale and MSRP. The spread between the 2 constitutes dealer's profit. It varies greatly based on a geographical location and model. Do some search. Remember to count options at invoice as well, not at MSRP.

That was the easiest part for me. Wait till the trip planning phase and you'll be really stressed out. Hostel? 5 star? parking? 3 days here ? 4 days there? buy new digital? A good deal in high volume areas seems to range $1000 to $1500. Edumunds' "price paid" or "european delivery" forum is another source to get an idea for deal range in your area.

I don't think Edmunds has ED pricing. Plus their prices seem really inflated. I know it's an average from their poll but again. It includes tons of people who pay sticker or don't take into account any incentives. I think carsdirect would be a better option for a starting point for US delivered cars.

ED Pricing (including invoice pricing) is posted as a sticky in the e90 forum. Try Joe Segretti at Wide World of Cars in Spring Valley, New York. He is very knowledgeable about ED and is willing to negotiate on ED cars. I just ordered a 330i for ED from Joe for September delivery.

I meant their forum where people post their deals, not Edmunds FMV which is useless. They don't mind specific prices being posted, just not specific dealer/contact.
