 Clutch Delay Valve?

I know it's not the exact term my friend, who is a hardcore BMW enthusiast, told me, but he mentioned something about a valve that's new that prevents you from dumping the clutch, thus smoothing out shifting (luxury before sport), but burning the hell out of the clutch in the meantime.

He suggested I request that the dealer remove it at delivery. Any thoughts on this?

It's not a new thing the E39 & E46 have them also. I have removed mine long time ago on my E39 and Dave Zackhausen @ Zeckhausen Racing is a pioneer in CDV. He also has purchased few for the E90 to figure out how to modify it. Dealer will not remove the CDV due to warranty. You have to do it yourself. I'll wait for Dave to figure out how to modify it and I'll purchase one from him for our E90 325i 6spd.

I did it!

Figured out how to remove those stupid restrictor valves from the new E90 plastic body without destroying anything. I'm ordering a bunch of new valves today and I have two on hand that are modified. More in about a week.
