 330i Dealer Invoice (CANADA)

Could someone tell me exactly what "Dealer Invoice" means. Is this what the dealer is paying for the car? Because if that's the case, it seems their profit margins are pretty low. It's a wonder they even give anything off MSRP. Below is the Dealer Invoice Price for the 330i. I believe these prices are before tax . Tried to format it so it's legible. Hope it helps:

I thought it was very difficult, if not impossible, to get Dealer Costs on vehicles in Canada.
The profti margin must be hight for then to afford these million $ dealer ships.
Personally, I would rather deal at a very modist dealership and pay a fixed mark up, say 15%.

Apparently this source is very reliable (Car Cost Canada). Has gotten a lot of press as of late.

I used car cost canada for my Subie, helped me deal $400 over invoice. Very good service, very reliable, worth the money.

Don't worry about profit on the dealer end. They do get up to 2% back via CSI programs and probably have other incentives from the automaker that we consumer are not aware of. Just browse through the forums to get a feel of how much people are paying in Canada before making your decision on the price you are willing to pay.

Dealers won't earn much by just selling new cars. They also earn by selling used cars, parts and services, finance/lease, incentives back from manufactor, etc...
