 5 Series Xenon Assembly

I just got a quote from my dealer to replace a headlight assembly (low beam out) at a cost of over $800 and an additional $200+ if the bulb also needs replacing. Called BMW NA as the car is a CPO and other than say it is not covered, they suggest shopping around. I asked them the cost of the part (63126912439) but they refused to tell me as all dealers set their own prices. What a waste of a phone call to BMW.

I guess my fleet of 3 will be shrinking!

Actually, as it turns out the bulb was fine. The control unit (part 63-12-8- 387-114) was shot and the headlight assembly aimers were also broken. I had it fixed. Next time I will use oembimmerparts and save some money.
