 Egg removal

I'm pretty pissed off right now . I was just outside to get some things out of my car, and I noticed some yellow stains dripping down the bottom half of the driver door. There were egg shells on the ground below. I tried using a damp towel, but it's not working too well as the egg seems too have dried already. Help!

be carefull to re-hydrate any dried material. soak a towel and let it sit on the egg stain for a good while.

I sprayed it with water. And wiped most of it off with water and a tiny splash of vinegar. I'm taking it to the car wash in the morning. I'm so annoyed.

Sorry to hear about the car... that's unfortunate. I hope you're able to wash everything out and I hope it doesn't leave any permanent marks. Good thing they didn't use bologna.

If you don't mind me asking, what do you think provoked it?... probably just jealous of your new ride, eh?

The reason i'm asking is because my car isn't going to be garaged... as a matter of fact, it's gonna be parked about a block away (i live in one of those new housing developments where we're packed in like sardines and it's easier to park down the block than it is to park in my driveway.) Anyways,... do you guys think the E90 will be especially susceptible to vandalism? I also have the coveted 162 wheels... should i be concerned about those getting jacked?

Egg Stains on Paintwork:
Egg contains amino acids as well as proteins and they will actually eat through the clear coatlayer, and eventually the basecoat if not neutralized / removed. Saturate the area with Isopropyl Alcohol and keep it ‘wet’ for 4-5 minutes, no not agitate the surface. Flush with clean water and dry thoroughly. Inspect surface for cracking, discolouration or other damage with a 30X lighted magnifying loupe, use a chemical cleaner to remove any discolouration, and then apply a paint protection product. If the clear coat shows signs of failure (cracking) take vehicle to a professional paint / body shop.
