Do floor mats come with the car? The BMW site indicates that they're "accessories" - my car has already been built and is awaiting a ship, but nothing has been signed and no money has changed hands. Is this something that normally is negotiated? My previous experiences in buying cars is that these (along w/ cargo liners and wheel locks) are typically just "thrown" in.
Thanks for your attention to this enthralling and timely topic!

You have to negotiate them into your deal.....some dealers will throw them in. If you do a ED, you'll find them in your car but you'll have to carry them back to the USA to assure that you see them when your car arrives. BTW - what you get in the US as an accessory is different than what a Euro Delivery provides in that t has the BMW logo on them.....also different backing.

I think it's a shame that one could drop $42K for a car and not get 4 cheap pieces of carpet thrown in!

There are 9 BMW dealerships within easy driving distance of me - hopefully they'll be mindful of the choices and make the right decisions to retain my future business. All this over 4 pieces of carpet (and a plastic bed liner)...

I would seriously consider getting the rubber mats too...for the front. They're about $50/pair and they "trap" an amazing amount of dirt/sand/water....that would otherwise end up in your carpets. I put them over my mats (I had really thin ED mats) in my E60 and they kept my mats pristine. They're also 10 times easier to wash off and dry vs. carpet mats. With a black interior you don't really even notice them. (some people think they look "cheap")

I only put rubber mat in the winter with snow. Otherwise, what is the point to have carpet and covered by the rubber mat all the time?
