I just talked to BMW NA Customer Rep and asking him when shall I recieve my car since it completed production 9th June. He said I quote "it should reach you in around a month (Shorter Period) since BMW is putting priority in shipping the e90s out since they are trying to get more cars on the road as fast as possible - what can be a better form of advertising than having as many as possible on the road" Does this hold any water? Me being in California - will I get my car in a month? Comments Please Thanks |

Half the time it took to get my car from Germany was spent with the car stateside sitting in VPC. If they push E90's to the front of the line, a month would be possible.

One month is optimistic. The "on the water" time from Germany to Oxnard is 23-29 days depending on the ship. In reality it's 4 weeks floating, transport from the factory to the ship, processing through the VPC, transport to your dealer. You could get the car in one month but only in the BEST of circumstances. Figure 6-7 weeks.

My car completed production on the 24th and sailed on the 1st of June. BMWNA and my dealer says I should expect to pick up my car by July 3rd in the LA area here in Southern California.
I sorta don't believe it will arrive so quickly but am hoping very much that it does.

Dealer has confirmed that the car should be home (SF Bay Area) in 30 days
