320d stick vs. step - which?

320d stick vs. step - which is better?

tough choice - power band is narrow (2k to 4,5k), so is the stick really fun?

I would go for stick, it's still lots of fun on my 330d (and it's a lot of money that you can spend on other options...). Of course if you plan on driving in stop & go traffic all day, the steptronic might be more comfortable and well matched to the diesel.

If you are buying a transportation, get Step.

If you are buying the ultimate driving machine, get Stick.

I was just reading a 320d review and they said the car was more suited for a step because the power band was so small that it required constant shifting to get it moving. You simply didn't have enough "room" in each gear to accelerate. 330d is a different story.

that's my concern... can you post the link to that review (if it's online)?
