I have order a E90 with beige with blurred walnut interior and I am supose to get my car next week the dealer phoned me telling me that because there is a shortage of blurred walnut accross the world i will only receive my car middle of augusts. Can this be true. (stay in South Africa, already received order no. and every thing). He also says because i have an order no. cannot cange my options.

The 325's are the only ones with a waiting list at the moment. I ordered a 320d in Sandton, and i am getting it late july (ordered it this week).
You could most likely just order another car, spec it how you want (with out the burl wallnut trim) and get it in july. The problem is, there might be another delay. Or phone the BMW customer service no and ask them?
Best advice...just wait it out?

Flash, I too have a 325 on order for expected delivery in 2-3 weeks.
I've ordered from Autobahn BMW in JHB, and they have told me there's a problem with the wood trim, but they haven't said the car is going to be delayed (yet!).
I can't believe that it could possibly delay delivery 'till August - this would make me go absolutely nuts! 
Surely they can find some woodtrim somewhere in the world - or will all BMW's all over the world be delayed by 2 months...I don't think so!
That's what makes me so furious about business in SA - the attitude of total apathy and the apparant inefficiency.
Let's hope and pray that it's not true this time...

I have ordered a 320i bmw and received a order number and as i said i was supposed to receive the car next week when the dealer (Paarlberg BMW in Paarl, Cape Town told me because of the shortage i can now only exspect the car 2nd week in August. Because i have received an order no. i cannot change my options on the car. You can imagine how i feld. What can i do i'll have to wait.
Maybe the sales person is taking me for a ride. Orderd the car in 15 April already
