Just wondering if anyone knows how long it takes to build an e90? How many do they make a day?? I just went onto the BMW's website and entered in my production #. It finally says that it is on order. so I was just curious.... |

On average it takes about a week to build from the time it actually goes into production.

It takes just a few days Jess. Sometimes as little as two.

Jess, BMW's website is awful - mine still says "scheduled for production", but when calling BMW's number it tells me it has completed production and is being shipped to the port for transport here.
Call 1-800-831-1117. When it answers, say "Vehicle Production Status". Then, when it asks you, say your production number. You'll get a much more up-to-date status from the number (at least I have).
If all else fails, call your dealer and ask them - they will give you the most up-to-date status.
And in answer to your question - it seems like it takes a few days to at most a week for the vehicle to be built.
... still waiting for my SG 330i w/sport package + heated seats + sat. prep

Scheduled for production on the BMW site actually means that it is in production. My e90 went from scheduled for production to awaiting shipment in 1.5 weeks. So now that my car is awaiting shipment does anyone know how long before it gets to the in transit state?
