What experience have people had with Thule vs BMW racks? (sadly Yakima does not make racks for the BMW mount points)
The direct rack mount point and folding seats meand I don't have to think wagon....am looking for pro's cons of the two most likely rack systems

I have used Thule for a couple E46's, and it works fine.

Quote: | I doubt it, and they're certainly not of a similar design: photos. | Even if the BMW racks are made by Thule, they could still be of dissimilar design from Thule-branded racks specifically so that you can only buy accessories from BMW, so that does not in and of itself mean that Thule does not make them. If I can remember where I saw it mentioned that BMW racks are made by Thule, then I'll post the reference.

I have the Thule 753 for my E39 unfortunately it doesn't fit the E90. The E90 rack slots are about an inch shrter than the E39. Thule doesn't make one for E90 yet so the only option is to get the BMW one. BMW rack base will only work with BMW accesories.
