Just got off the phone with dealer trying to plan E.D. I originally just wanted to see when I should order the car in order to get comfort access and he mentioned that the 06 might only be out for about 6 months then the 07 comes out? This doest sound right does it?
Also when can I order comfort access(I know it comes out sept)?

Nope...he apparently does not know what he's talking about. More than likely the 07's will be go into production until Sept. 2006.

It's strange you guys cannot order the comfort access, I could do so here in France... I'm supposed to pick up my car next week and I have no indication that comfort acces would not be in it.
Any reason why you have to wait ?

Any reason why you have to wait ? | It's not available for the US market until September even though the rest of the world already has it. I have absolutely no idea why but I'm sure there's a BMW product manager somewhere with an abacus with a good reason.

Just a guess, but it may have to do with FCC approval. The system might have had CE approval earlier than FCC approval, which might have delayed putting it in North-America-bound cars. There may even be a modification that's needed for the FCC-approved version that will only be in production by September.

I'm very disappointed that I can't have my 325i retrofit w/ CA once it becomes available here in the states. I'm set to pick my vehicle up the first week of July.
